Italian Garden

:? I dont' think this place is good, i mean the prices are set right for the town we live in, i mean its no austin, but i've seen other restraunts around here, and other places *at a cost of course* that add a little more flair to their food. I just wasn't impressed once again w/ I.G.

the stafff is nice tho. and the bread is great

Italian Garden

Yeah I agree dbob. What I personally don't like about the place is the menu. Um none of us here are italian...i'd say like maybe .005% of san marcos are. So we don't know what each item on the menu is. Especially if they all sound the same. So I say they add some pictures or something. Like a noodle at least. I'm pretty sure I remember Olive Garden having a couple in there. I think that can help out confused customers. But the manicotti is good. or the masticolli. um yeah confused again. I dont know. but i love italian food. Hopefully someone will open up another restaurant..that isn't fast food though.

 heh yah picture menus need to be mandated in all foreign restraunts in my opinion. It'll definatly help tourists out on what to eat... " i'll haev this one because green is my favorite color..."

How can you say a restaurant is no good because you're too uncultured to understand the menu? Every entree is followed by a description of the dish. Hello? Sorry that most dimwits haven't the slightest clue as to what a caper is... but pictures on the menu? Dude, go to McDolnald's.

it's the most authentic italian you'll find in this town that's for damn sure. they were short handed and therefore lacking in service the last couple of times i went, but the food is great if you ask me.

hmm...

:?

this place is simply okay... i would always pick somewhere else (out of the 12 choices you have in san marcos). i guess it's convenient if you are on campus and don't want to eat another subway sandwich (and of course have the time to wait around for the 1 waiter to take care of you). strangely, some of the girls i have dated in this town, love going there. the lasagna is prolly the best thing they got. it's hot ass eff, so watch out. oh, and if you go in their high, it feels like everyone can hear what your saying because the place is soo small and the tables are very close together. not a good place to go if you plan on laughing hysterically. oh, another crappy thing is the bathroom. it's outside. i think this place used to be a gas station or somthing, because you literally have to walk out the door and around the corner to do your business. on a scale of 1-10 i would give italian garden a 4. they try- i think.

Great lasagna (I agree), great pizza, great bread and an intimate ambience that frightens away giggling stoners.

Hmmmm.

On a scale of 1-10, I give it a 12. I'm going to go there tonight.

the eyetalian gardens

the reason why italian gardens is sooooo good is that they use special ingredients. unfortunately, the san marcos health department keeps finding them. I.G. is consistently at the top of the demerits list, after inspection. so, three cheers to san marcos dinning! and don't forget to smoke after every meal!

Unlikely. Care to back that up with some evidence that we can see?

Italian Garden

I love the food at I.G. I agree that they need more waitpersons and they also need to teach them to not put there entire hand on the rim of the glass!!! From now on we are probably only going to get take out from them because their service is  lame.
