Got it. I find in San Marcos, a lot of places are hidden. It's like they tried to avoid the main streets or something.

I find those to be the best places to eat, as well.

There is still a Mana's (and a Mana's 2). I definitely prefer Mana's or Garcia's, over Herbert's. Herbert's is just the place everyone knows about. Maybe because of its proximity to the river and the highway. Maybe I just got sick of it, living a block away for a few years. I just can't ever remember it being my first choice. Then, there are soooo many good choices. Rogelio's, Taqueria La Fonda, Los Vega, Palm Cafe II...

Take Guadalupe to Roosevelt (across from Autozone, at Casa Maria (also pretty good)). Turn right on Roosevelt, if you are coming from campus - left, if you are coming from the highway. It's on your left, a little ways after the stop sign at the park. I think the road becomes Alabama, before you hit Mana's, but you can't really miss it.

Well, I suppose you can, since it is a little place, but you probably won't miss it.

Mis-read your question. Tried to edit my post, but the server timed out. Hopefully, that won't lead to multiple duplicate posts in a few minutes.

Mana's 2 is on the other side of Guadalupe, behind Autozone. I think it is Love Street and S. LBJ.
