More goodness from the renters

Another great renter in a single-family neighborhood.

Actually, I went over there the other day, because I'm pissed and don't know any better. The place appears to be vacant, so no, he did not have a lot of roommates and probably was quiet.

The house has been a rent house (or "owned" by a student) as long as I can remember. It was probably rented to this guy because the owners couldn't unload it because it is right on top of some duplexes off Craddock. Pure speculation on my part.

Also pure speculation is that he probably rented because if he bought the house, it would be an asset that could be seized and he probably could not afford that house anyway, especially if he had to prove his income to finance it (over $300k for the house, I'm sure).

I'm betting he rented the house instead of an apartment or duplex, because there is no local management to keep tabs on his activities.

An awesome deal for the rest of us for sure.

Just a quick follow-up.

The owner of the house lives in Florida.

Great.

I'm sure she has a vested interest in San Marcos.

If I recall correctly, she bought the house for her son, while he was in college. Now she rents it out to whomever.

Sweet.
