Let's face it. Each Beatle has a predominate feature that has to be accurately captured.
With Ringo, it's the nose.
With Paul, it's the eyes.
With John, it's the relationship between his nose and mouth and
with George, its the handsome asymmetry of all his features.

The comment, specifically, was that he didn't get Ringo's eyes right.
