Parking Issues Downtown/meeting tonight

I just heard that the downtown master planning people and the consultants looking at downtown parking are holding a community workshop tonight (Wed. Nov. 28th) at 6PM at the activity center. They are presenting a plan for downtown parking. I don't know if this is the parking garage people have been talking about or what, but if you're free, you might want to stop by and check it out.

Very interesting session. The consultants recommended building 80-feet tall apartment buildings along C.M. Allen going through downtown. Residents were worried about flooding as a result. They also talked about metering parking on the central streets and, perhaps, putting free street parking on the surrounding streets.
