"United We Jam" Benefit Festival at Lucy's On the

SAN MARCOS, TX - Sunday, September 18th, 2005, skytravel.org and Lucy's San Marcos will host "United We Jam," a benefit concert to raise funds for the victims of Hurricane Katrina. All proceeds from the event will go to the American Red Cross in support of their relief efforts for one of the largest natural disasters in American history.

"United We Jam" is sponsored by skytravel.org, Jack's Patio Bar, Cabo Wabo Cantina and Outhouse Designs. Additionally, all musicians will perform free of charge.

"United We Jam" is a free event; however donations will be accepted at the door. Outhouse Designs will supply, design, and sell the official "United We Jam" t-shirt featuring the event entertainment. Additionally, all tips received by Lucy's San Marcos staff will be donated to the effort.

Live music performances begin at 2:00 pm. The following bands are scheduled to play at Lucy's San Marcos September 18, 2005: Cari Hutson Band, Electric Mayhem, The Word Association, Rebecca Creek Band, Jared Francis, Clap! Clap! , Robbie and the Robots, Oceanus, Meat Wood, The Harlots (TX), Famous Danger Agents, Kallisti Gold, 11 Fingered Charlie, 57 State, Jackson Parten, Bernie Calcote, JR. Castro, Subtle Creeks, People of Habit, $5 Dollar Friend, A Year in Exile, and more to be announced.

ALL donations from both "United We Jams" will be donated to the American Red Cross.

Skytravel.org held the first-ever "United We Jam" benefit concert in the aftermath of September 11 in Austin, TX. The effort raised over $6,000 for the victims of the 9/11 tragedy. The "United We Jam" benefit for Hurricane Katrina sponsored by skytravel.org and Lucy's San Marcos will take place in San Antonio September 15th and in San Marcos September 18th, 2005. Through the combined efforts of skytravel.org, Jack's Patio Bar and Lucy's San Marcos, a new goal of $10,000 has been set for the Hurricane Katrina benefit.
