Water issues?

Anyone else have terrible water at their house? I got the report from the city saying it's safe, it also said I'm wasting my money if I'm buying bottled, not sure why, but it did.

What part of town are you in and is your water any good?

I'm south, just about as south as you can get and still be in town and it's terrible. Particles floating around, grit in your teeth terrible.

When I lived in the city, my water always had floaters in it. Now that I'm out in the country with a well, my water is fantastic.

Is this normal water or did you get dust too? We have way too much magnesium in ours. It's tasteless and Salem's water is rated the best in Oregon (makes absolutely no sense).

Much if not most bottled water is just water from someone's tap in another town. Ephrata PA is just a little dump with an old building where Shaker types once lived. Then people began selling bottled water so they bottled the tap water and labeled it "The Cloisters". Still tastes like it always did. meh

I don't know what it is. It's gritty though.

I knew that about most water bottlers, but if it doesn't have stuff floating in it it's better than mine.

I've lived in either San Marcos or Kyle for almost a decade now, and this area has always had horrible tap water.

We have a sediment filter and when it gets time to replace it, it has some large treasures.

How frequently is that necessary?

the only water I consume is in coffee. I've never been fond of water. lines get flushed and tap water looks like toilet water or worse. I let a soda bottler filter my water for me.

I'm gonna get a glass of water from the tap here at work, since it is in the city, and run it through a coffee filter. I am very interested in what I may find.

**Of course I'll have the filter on the faucet itself off before I do this.**

And? I'm heading out tonight to buy a water filter, I ran out last night, had a glass of tap and all I could taste was salt.
