Just talked to a co-worker. She goes to Stony Lonesome in Cullman. I have never been there but she loves it.

Mid State Trails

Not sure about west of Montgomery, but there is supposed to be one over in the National Forest near Tuskegee. I am hoping to go over there this weekend and see what they have.

Grothjc, not sure what kind of trails you are looking for, but you can always head over to the Conecuh National Forest near Andalusia which is also adjacent to the Black State Forest in Florida.
