Black Eyed Sally's in Hartford has gumbo on the menu. I haven't tried it, but both times I ate there I was very pleased with my meal. It's a live blues venue as well.

The Half Door is a great beer bar (often has multiple Belgians on tap, good range of more esoteric imports). The fact that they serve really good food is an added bonus.
