Seeing as how today is the first significant snow northern NM has seen this season, it is looking bleak. It's predicted to be a warm, dry season.

Buses are decent but for the most part not nearly good enough for a city its size. I wouldn't recommend anyone live here w/o a car.

Though it never gets as green as the coasts, visit here in the spring. Lot's of green, flowers in bloom including desert cacti. And still no flying insects to annoy you.

Socorro Springs is the only one I know of down south. I haven't been to Las Cruces to check anything out there. There's plenty up here in Santa Fe and Albuquerque that would make the trip worthwhile.
