As someone who doesn't actually enjoy the "beach" that much, at least not actually swimming in it, I have to say Venice Beach is my favorite, due to the freakshow ;)

These pics are fantastic. But that first pic, "Venice 1920" - It's clearly facing South, and you can see what looks like the Santa Monica Pier... wouldn't that make this actually a photo of Santa...
