Interlake Range

You can join the Interlake Sporting Ass'n and do all the rapid fire you want.
INTERLAKE SPORTING ASSOCIATION home
It's in Kirkland up on Rose Hill.

It's an outdoor range and after you pass the class and test you can use it for pistol to 25 yards and rifle to 200 yards any time you want during open hours, 10 til dusk. No limits on magazine capacity or firing rate. There are special events and shotgun trap events as well. Very limited archery, too.

You can shoot with full mags and rapid fire at West Coast Armory/Bellevue Gun Club as well.

bellevuegunclub.net

It's a nice new range near the Factoria-I90 interchange with 3 indoor ranges and gunsmithing. I think it's only $15 to join for a lowest level membership. They do that for liability/insurance issues. I've taken classes there and that was a very good experience. They specialize in personal defense stuff and have shooting leagues and other training events, like IDPA. I'm planning to go to one tomorrow night.

By far the best place I know of is the Kenmore ranges. They have a very active shotgun program and a great place to do it. They have shooting 5 days a week. Closed Fridays and Mondays.

Have you been out there, because I've heard similar things and I couldn't find the spot.

The ONLY place on I-90 between seattle and the pass is the Tinkham Road area. The rest of the corridor is gated and no shooting allowed.

FS 70 and 75 near greenwater on Hwy410 also have some areas.

The Kenmore range is nice though.

Anybody have GPS coordinates for Tinkham spots?

West Coast Armory's new range in Bellevue/Factoria is really nice, as is the Kenmore range if you are staying around the Eastside area. Avoid Wade's IMO.

In terms of shooting on private property in King County, they have very specific no-shooting zones established, and if you are in them, even on your land, my understanding is it is a pretty hefty fine.

Here is the King County doc - about a hundred pages in is the relevant section - 12.68.xx

And don't forget, different townships can pass a local ordanance.
