Geoduck Restaurants?

Awhile back, on my home forum, we had a series of threads where you shared little known facts about your home state.

Our most illustrious member there brought up the Geoduck as a state oddity.

It became a sort of unofficial mascot, none of us had ever seen anything like it, had never heard of it.

Before I die, I need to sample this crazy dish.

What is the best way to have it prepared, and is there a restaurant that specializes?

I've been here 17+ years and still have no desire to try it after seeing them alive. Still, they are supposed to be delicious. People I work with tell me that the best is right near where I work, in Belltown area of Seattle: Shiro's Sushi Restaurant

Look at one first, though. Do tell us if you try it! :

I have lived here all my life and have never had any desire to try one of those things. I wont say that I never would, but i would never order one. Some of my family says there great though.

Mike Rowe from "Dirtiest Jobs" did a segment on these facinating creatures. It was really interesting how they harvest them. And yes, I wouldn't mind trying them.

I have been curious but have heard it is an expensive dish. Any idea what average $/plate is? I would hate to go out to try it, not like it and waste 30 bucks.

Here is the geoduck clip from Dirty Jobs:

I've lived her for a decade and have no interest in them. I like clams, but the clams I eat are small and not evil.
