Need 4L & 1.5 L jugs?

I have at least dozen of each in N Ballard. I've spent a lot of effort to get the labels off and clean with boiling water recently-- within the last few months.

They should have something fizzing in them! I don't brew anymore but these are too good to just recycle. Trade for a stout?

Do these jugs have screw on lids or can they be capped?

Jugs

Happy Thanksgiving

The jugs are equipped with screw-on caps. They can be sterilized. These are the jugs that you see in the grocery store-Rossi.

Call 'em what you like. 1.5L is two reg wine bottles. If you want to see them, go to Safeway and look at the Rossi jug wines.

Actually if they only held wine before, they are probably not equipped to safely hold the pressure beer would produce...however, I doubt the lid would hold an airtight seal to begin with.

Sorry, not trying to be downer. For homebrewers, these DO make excellent containers for making large yeast starters though - I have a couple just for this purpose!

Cheers,
Ryan
