Northern SC interests?

So I recently moved just outside of Columbia, but wanted to know what interesting areas are located in the northern part of the state. I have plans to visit the Blue Ridge Parkway, but what else would be worth the time to visit?

Thanks...

White Water Falls is close to Wallhalla SC. It's the tallest waterfall east of the Rockies.
