Black Hills South Dakota visit

Hello, I'll be making a roadtrip next summer across SD and would like to know how many days I should plan to spend in the Black Hills. We'll be travelling with two young children, would like to do some outdoor activities (hiking, etc), pan for gold, and whatever else a tourist would like.

Also, any suggestions on things to see/do.

Thanks.

There is tons of good wheeling out here for Jeeps. You can rent some 4-wheelers and rip around the hills out here. Tons of good fishing both on the lakes and streams. Lots of sight seeing to do. Rock climbing and hiking are a definite go!

That's sounds good. I think the family and I will have a fun time in the black hills! I've heard that Deadwood does some sort of wildwest shootout every evening or something. Does anyone have any info?

I haven't watched it in a while, but they do a wildwest type gunfight on a pretty regular basis.

And dont forget Mt Rushmore and as your driving along the I90 you could also stop at the Corn Palace at Mitchell and of course Wall Drug and if I remember correctly there is a pretty neat car museum in Murdo. Hope this helps

Those are great ideas - I knew about Mitchell and Wall Drug, but not the car museum. Thank you.
