moving to spokane area

I am thinking of moving to the spokane area and would appreciate hearing opinions about the following; weather year round, japanese food, india food, mold or insect problems, zen or other meditation opportunities, kirtans sessions, malls or walmart accessibility.

I lived just outside of Spokane in Liberty Lake and loved it. Weather was mild the 7 years I was there but last year they had a bad snow storm. It is a valley that blocks most of the heavy snow. Warm in the day time and cools off at night. There is mall right at the edge of town with a Walmart across the highway and four more Walmarts around. Cool downtown area with a city park , river and sprawling mall area. Great place to live with no state incom tax. We only moved back to be close to family.
