This local brewery is a bit of drive outside of St. Louis, but I highly recommend Tin Mill Brewing in Hermann, Mo. Good beer, and great little town. Definitely worth going to during Oktoberfest. If you didn't already know, Hermann was built by Germans. Oh yeah, there is also a winery across the street with an awesome view of the Missouri River and the town.

Quite a few new craft breweries opening up. Keep an eye on the Hip Hops section at St. Louis Sports, News, Jobs, Classifieds, Entertainment & Weather and you will see quite a few micro and nano breweries opening up. Anyone wanna open one and give Schlafly some competition?

I checked out a place called Granite City off of Olive in Creve Coure the other day...not bad...they've got some good stuff and the food is pretty darn good also. If you collect growlers from micro brews, their's is pretty sweet!

My favorite lunch place and late afternoon beer hotspot is the Stables in the old Lemp Brewery Stables. They have tons of specialty beers and brew a few of their own.

I vote for The Stable and Square One. Both great microbrew lunch spots! Anyone for a 2-beer lunch?
