Is anyone aware of any aftermarket batteries that last longer than the ones sold by Apple for the MacBook Pro?

None that I know of. My old macbook pro with a fresh charge would last 4 to 5 hours maybe more depending on how I set everything up.

If you have 10.5 or above get the fan controller app when on battery you can turn down the fan so that the battery last longer.
