Mussels Inspire A Glue That Works Underwater



It always makes me wonder why it takes so long for “scientists” to look to nature for things that should otherwise be so simple. How many here know that plasma TVs came from research into the ocean by a modern Japanese emperor?

I would say that it is because God did it. Off the subject but there is a beetle that lays its eggs in hot fire damaged timber. This beetle has infrared sensors more sensitive than anything man has come up with. http://www.sciencedaily.com/releases...0729092403.htm

How about naming the glue musselage?

Many years ago while getting a crown at the dentist, he told me that the glue was made from barnacles.
