What's a good size for a 20x20 room? LCD or LED?

What's the furniture setup like and does the room get a lot of sun?

I prefer the LCD, less glare. I picked up a 42" vizio LCD from costco a couple weeks ago for a little over $500 and couldn't be happier with it. The room it's in is about the same size.

It depends on a lot of things. I'd research it some more on the internet, or just give us the characteristics of the room and we could give you our opinions.

I currently have a 42" LG plasma. Contrary to popular belief, plasma's are very safe, the risk of a "burn-in" is virtually gone because they've perfected the gasses, and also, contrary to belief, it uses about the same amount of power that my LCD used to.

But because people are still "scared" of plasma for these reasons, you can get some amazing deals on some big TV's!

Really the only way you get burn ins on plasmas anymore is if you do something stupid like pause a movie and leave it paused for hours on end. You almost have to try and have it happen.

Plasmas esp the cheaper ones will still burn in. You can fix it and Panasonic are the best at resisting burn in for plasmas.

LCD don't burn in but your half life for the tubes is about 10 years depending on how much tv you watch.

My family room is about 10x18 and I have a 42" a 47" may work but 50"+ is too big.

LED TV's are still an LCD screen but instead of using a CCT (Cold Cathode Tube) for light it uses LED's they use less energy produce better more natural light and much less heat than CCT or flo tubes...

My living room is about that size, I just bought a 52" LCD, and love it!!

At first, I was concerned that it would be too big, nah, nothing smaller for me now, with the new digital broadcasts and the hd from cable, the picture is perfect.

I have a 42" in the br and that's a nice size too, don't buy anything smaller. If you can get high def. you'll be amazed.
