Homebrewers in Amarillo or the panhandle?

Any homebrewers out there in Amarillo or the surrounding area? (that don't already know me?)

I am a brewer if El Paso qualifies.

Try homebrewtalk if you are not a member

Amarillo Homebrewer

I'm in Amarillo, been here two years wondering if anyone else homebrews. Also been thinking of starting a homebrew club. How's this for a name:

The High Plains Draughters

Now that I see it written, it looks a lot like "daughters".

How about "drafters"?

I'm not going to Lubbock to homebrew, sorry. I think there could be enough interest in Amarillo to initiate a club. Besides, going to Lubbock from Amarillo for a homebrew club is like going from Ft. Worth to Dallas because you don't know of a club in your area.

There is a homebrew club in Amarillo. Actually it is called the High Plains Drafters website www.highplainsdrafters.org Email me at bmschnei@hotmail.com and I'll add you to our email list. We have meetings at members homes about once a month - usually on Sunday afternoons. No dues yet. Have been in existence for 1 year. Mostly bring our brews and socialize. We have occasional educational activities (off flavor tasting class and some talks on brew-related topics) and have had some joint activities with the Lubbock brew club.

Just got into brewing myself. Not in the area yet but trying to get there. (job market is a little tough in the tech sector.)
