Shopping in Mexico
Has anyone gone shopping in Mexico since all the border violence escalated? Where is it safe?

Mexican border towns are off limits for military personnel due to the violence; that should be a good indicator of safety for ya. Juarez is a war zone; lived in El Paso for a year so I have first hand knowledge. We saw a bunch of Mexican police and government officials injured in drug war shootings; they got transported to El Paso for medical care. Not worth the risk.

I went to Juarez last Friday. You just have to know where you are going and be watchful.

Probably not the best idea. Risky and dangerous down there right now. Just got shop at San Marcos' outlet mall. A lot safer.
