I woke up at 2:30. Stupid clouds, I couldn't see anything.

Where are you? If you are anywhere near me you couldn't see it anyhow.

I SO wanted to see it. I sat outside until the clouds obscured the moon.
I was bummed.

It was clearer in Johnson County. However I live close enough to Cleburne and Alvarado to still have light pollution from them. Too bad I could not make it to my sisters in Cisco. What I really wanted to see was the Ursids meteor shower to coincide. However I did not spot a single meteor.

I DID get to see some of the Geminids. That was nice. I am just far enough from the city to lose some of the lights of Austin.

Missed it as well from weather and light pollution.

I think we are missing out a lot on not being able to the see the night sky. When I lived in Austin it was almost always the orange glow. Living in Burnet it's marvelous to see the beauty of the night sky without that.
