Road Trip !

My wife and I are taking a road trip in May.

Rough itinerary:

Philly
Columbia, SC
Atlanta, GA
Macon, GA
Savannah, GA
Parris Island, SC (graduation)
Branchwood, SC
Philly

My wife has never been further South than Virginia. I have, however, but it has been awhile.

Anyone have any suggestions on "must-see" types of things along the way?

Thanks

Stone Mountain is East of Atlanta, so you should go there first if you should decide to stop......
this is on the order of "Mt. Rushmore" in South Dakota.....
the laser show is amazing

If you are looking for an awesome "scenic route" check out the Blue Ridge Parkway. (Blue Ridge Parkway - Home) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Blue_Ridge_Parkway

Also, if you are going anywhere near Charleston, SC that is great with lots of awesome history.

If you like the "OCEAN", then "Myrtle Beach" is just a short "side trip" off I-95 and while in that area travel a little farther south to "Murrel's Inlet" and visit the "Brookgreen Garden Park".........you'll enjoy all the statues and beauty there. This would be before "Stone Mountain".

Brookgreen Gardens Myrtle Beach -- Ever Changing. Simply Amazing.

Here's a scene from the "Legend's" show.....we were there this past summer....watch all the videos on this link....I think you'll enjoy the show.
