it's better to close it and protect for a bit then watch it burn. these conditions are about the same as the summer when mt lemmon burned clean down top to bottom back in '89.

although i did enjoy the nightly show of the mountains burning, 20yrs later and the forest still isn't recovered.

Yeah i know. Just sucks. I hope it opens again by fathers day. We were planning a camping trip for fathers day.

And with Mt. Lemmon you can still see patches of forest that look like used match books. It's kinda creepy hiking into the middle of it.

It just closed Thursday at noon. If you are planning on running up to Mt. Lemmon there is no stopping along the way and they are closing the road at nighttime.

I heard they have close of all of AZ parks. You can't even go into Redington right now.
Kinda sucks I wanted to go shooting tomorrow.

all the wildcat ranges are fenced off right now that happened sometime before last saturday when we were up there. Pay the couple bucks and go to a legal range.
