The renters are kids, probably scared. Part of the problem is cops letting criminals go because it's "not worth it" and attorney's making deals to save court costs.

This totally blows my mind as well and I have a question for you.

When a case involves domestic violence, is the case then dropped if the assaulted party chooses to not pursue charges? Here in VA, Im pretty sure that the state has no qualms with charging you with the said offense (aka State vs. xxxxxxx) Regardless of whether the affected party chooses to move forward or not.

In this case, I think the STATE needs to man up and charge these individuals.

Robles Junction is NOT the answer.

FWIW, my parents owned the 3 Points General Store (aka Papago Trading Post back in the day) several years ago. I worked there for a number of years, and I am familiar with quite a few of the folks out there. (Mind you this was close to 15 or so years ago but Im sure little has changed)

yea I just cannot fiugure how they need a victim to press charges. they have four guys in a truck with a bed FULL of stolen goods and a witness to them breaking into a truck. I'm woindering if they even tried to link the stereo serial numbers back to owners so they could be the victim....

How many people actually register their stereos prior to the theft, or even have their serial numbers handy?

Possibly, but I think that...

Yup, I was still working there during that time (I think) That was the era of "Dick the Barber" and the beginnings of the popularity of casinos on the reservations. Boy have I got some stories from the days out there!

No sh*t? Me too! Worked there for 2 years. You wouldn't happen to be Randy's kid, would you?

A LOT has changed out there, and for the worst...
