I thought Axle alley, Jackhandle and elvis were all up in Florence?
They are. The club meets in Catalina State Park and then as a group, drives up to the trail head. I imagine some of those rigs will get trailered up there.
Does anyone know if you can access Madera from starting at Gardner Canyon to the east? All the maps I can find from that area seem to not be too accurate and I would hate to get lost trying to cross that gap.
i beleive for the canyon proper, it's one way in-out
I didn't see it metioned (or maybe by a different name) but the Chimeny Rock trail is pretty fun. There is a side trail off it that is pretty intense not a good idea to try it alone. (Not that wheeling alone ever is)
Chimney Rock trail is a nice one. But just be careful around the formation itself. There is a great rock garden around there, but it's not part of the trail and off of the designated FS road. Rangers have been trying to get it shut down...or rather, closed, to protect it.
By side trail do you mean 4431 it is the trail that goes out the back of Chimney down to the wash? That intersects with 4438 which takes you back out to Redington Road.

No, not that one. I just meant in and around Chimney Rock itself.
