Despite its drawbacks I'm keeping the congo cage itself. Although def not bad *** I like the thule box too because it is lockable, water and dust proof. I just don;t like the 3-4 inches the crossbars add (2" dia + bracket). I will either put a long thin basket next to the Thule on the bars or a larger basket the thule can mount to like the warrior/wilderness directly on the cage. If mesh it will be easy to mount with ubolts. There is a pannon knock off of the wildrness basket on criags right now for 150. There are def worse things than having lot's of work and mod options
