a good lawyer could prove wbc is disturbing the peace amongts other things and NOT just exercising free speech, unfortunatley like you said these guys want attention.
Last Summer we lost a young soldier, of course WBC raised there ugly head.
The soldier's Dad ask for help from the Patriot Guard. 2,000 riders showed up.
Our city, local PD,everyone was proud to have there help.
The wbc decided to not make good on there appearance. BUT they are suing our big city, lol , city of 12,000 residence.
We all know everybody here, its a close town and this Family is a good Family. Clayton was not forced to be over there helping to protect us, He told his Family that it's what he wanted to do.
Bottom line, He did not deserve to be disrespected in the wbc way.
Harrison "so far " has lost three of our soldier's"
the pics are of, arriving in town and arriving at the cemetery. the yellow truck is mine, I was behind the flag with a camera.
I would show if the family requested it. Otherwise I will continue to oppose WBC but away from the funerals. Anyone know where they are staying while in town? I just feel funerals should be private unless honors are being bestowed and the public invited. They are certainly not the place for protest or sightseeing, whatever the cause.
As vets and soldiers do you guys think we should block wbc at soldiers funerals or is that further harm?
I saw that just now too, the AZ Daily Star also reported that Angel Wings will be in Town. signs were up for buidling wings at the dance studio on fourth ave this am, all those who planned to come helped prevent them from doping so i'd say, kudos. It was unlcear to me if WBC is still going to the other funerals or if they cancelled all of them. I for one will ignore their radio blather...
The Arizona Legislature unanimously passed a measure Tuesday banning protests at or near funeral sites.
^ About time the Legislature did something constructive for a change!
