I'm looking for excellent mexican in Davis County. I love Red Iguana in SLC but am not fond of the drive. Any suggestions?

You just can't compete with the Iguana, its just not fair. You'll have to settle for the standard Mexican pretty much anywhere else in the state/country/world. The Red Iguana is truly one of a kind!

Cafe Rio was pretty good when I was there. Javier's was good, but not great.

Burger Bar (Roy) is good. Not Davis, but pretty close.

Best authentic Mexican food is Las Ventanas in Ogden by far better than Javiers, El Matador, and Lorenas real tasty and great prices but if you like bland this is not for you!!

We tried a peruvian place next to Smith's in Syracuse. (1000 W & Antelope Dr) Was pretty good. Prices are about $12 a plate.

Mara's in Layton. Main and Gentile. Has authentic Mexican, I recommend it.
