Shark fishing near the Edison Plant?

When I was a kid, a friend used to drag me out to a beach behind and Edison plant that pumped warm water into the ocean. The warm water seemed to attract sharks and we would always get a decent catch there.

Does anyone have any idea where that plant is? It was so long ago that I wasn't even old enough to pay attention to the route we took. About all I know anymore is that it was in Ventura.

I seem to recall parking on a highway and walking a bit of a distance to get to it also. And for some reason a go-cart track nearby also rings a bell...
