Jay Peak renovations, will it lose it's charm?

The thing I love about Jay Peak, is it hearkened back to an old grubby ski resort. It lacked the glitter of Whistler, but it made it seem more "hardcore". There was nothing to do after a day of skiing other than get in the grimy hottubs and drink some Woodchuck cider.

I'm worried that with the big expansions this is going to change. Am I crazy?

Considering that much of the labor is going to be Canadian, I'd say that it's going to lose its "Vermonter" feel. Not knocking my quebecois cousins. Love you guys.

I used to go to Jay 20 years ago yearly. They took my Canadian money at par and loved the mountain! The area and mountain is what's beautiful and like the rest, I hope the charm stays with it.
But I guess they must do whatever to keep it from closing down.
That would be a shame!
