Killington ski area is also a host to the Jeep Jamboree every year in July. The view from the top is amazing. Great skiing, and snowmobiling, many trails for wheeling with the help of a local club (such as mine, www.greenmountaincrawlers.com). Many restaurants, shopping, history, sugaring season, etc. etc.
A good resource for restaurant reviews in the VT area is Seven Nights.
Oh and I might as well plug Vermont Jeep Association too! Both VJA and GMC are a great bunch and will make you welcome.
