Their grilled wings are probably my all time favorite.

The Great American Restaurants chain has a couple Sweetwater Tavern places (Centreville, Sterling, and Merrifield) that brew beer and serve food. A lot of their beers are so-so but they have a large rotating list of styles and usually will have 1 on tap that is pretty good.

so they don't have microbrews, but they do have real irish employees...I recently have become a huge fan of O'sullivans in herndon. Unlike Murphys in oldtown, or Ned Devines...They actually have two 100% irish guys working the pub, the guiness is fresh, and so is the smithwicks. But quite possibly the number one thing on their menu is their Guiness Burger!!

Vintage 51 in South Riding, VA near Chantilly has a pretty good draft beer selection. Unfortunately they can't serve Vintage 50 brews, something about licensing? Not entirely sure. The food is ok at best.

Bilbo Baggins in Old Town Alexandria is a really cool little place.

If you have never been to Devil's Backbone near Wintergreen Ski Resort, its a must. They have one many awards at GABF.

Starr Hill in Crozet is putting out some really nice beers, Dark Starr!!

a second for Mad Fox in Falls Church. Any place with Beer Engines (PLURAL) gets my business.

X3 on Devil's Backbone.

I posted in the Local Brews thread and figured that I should post here too.

We've been to Devil's Backbone twice and enjoyed it very much both times (not to mention that it's a beautiful drive to get there). As someone said earlier in this thread, not a bad beer in the place, good food, and music too!

Here's their site: Devils Backbone Brewing Company

Absolutely worth the trip!

Be well,
Richard
