Irish death is one of my top 3 beers. I tried a clone, and while it turned out really well, it was not quite the same. It has a smooth quality and a good kick that makes it perfect.

Heya Ceg. Have you tried the Yakima craft tasting room or snipes? I'm assuming so, but didn't see the picks.

Also, the beer shoppe on 24th near Safeway has a little seating area now where you can grab a pint.

I still have not been to Yakima Craft Brewing Company but have tried a few of their brews. I did not know they had a tasting room.

Here are some pictures of Snipes:

Eastern Washington Off Road - Thursday Night Get Together (Sunnyside)
Sept 23, 2010 at Snipes Mountain Brewery

Report by Clay Graham - Eastern Washington Off Road

On Thursday September 23rd, 2010 I drove to Sunnyside Washington to meet the others for the Eastern Washington Off Road Thursday Night Get Together at Snipes Mountain Brewery. I was a little early so I took a few pics.

This GT it was only Guido, Craigen and myself.
We all started off with the sampler.

Guido not sure about drinking good beer.

After the samplers and dinner I had a glass of Extra Blonde Ale.

We got some growlers of Extra Blonde Ale to go.

Snipes Mountain Brewery has a good atmosphere, great food and some pretty good beer!

I plan to come back when I get back down that way.

Eastern Washington Off Road - Thursday Night Get Together (Yakima)
January 8th, 2011 at Bob's Burgers & Brew

Report by Clay Graham - Eastern Washington Off Road

On Thursday January 8th, 2011 I drove to just off I-82 in Yakima Washington near Target to meet the others for the Eastern Washington Off Road Thursday Night Get Together at Bob's Burgers & Brew. Here are a few pictures of our time there.

At this GT there were only five of us. Havo, Havo Jr, Demontang w/GF and myself.

Bob's Burgers & Brew has a nice lounge area with a lot of different drinks and beers to choose from. They are a little high priced. I had the Yakima Craft Brewing Co.'s 1982. This is a very good mid-hopped amber ale.

Everyone I talk to thinks the food is great a Bob's Burgers & Brew. I had taken my family there last summer for lunch and the burgers had a burnt flavor none of us cared for. On this night I gave the burgers one more try in case we had came on a bad day last time. I ordered the "Fresh Mushroom Burger". You get a good size portion of food for the money but the hamburger had that burnt flavor again. I guess this taste good to other people but I went out to dinner so I wouldn't have to taste the burn food at home. lol

We all had a great time at Bob's Burgers & Brew but most likely will not do another GT there.

Mmm beer

I hate to derail this thread and not stay on topic BUT...

If you haven't tried Men's Room Original Red Ale, then you are missing out on something great.

I totally didn't know Sunnyside had a brewery - I'm hitting that next time I'm there!
