West Virginia Jeep forum guys/gals

All the JF people, have you hear of the WV Jeep Club? It's a state wide Jeep club, members all over.

Check it:

JeepinWV.com - Loading...

I have the same username on there as here. (and JF)

I have the same username on here, JeepForum and JeepInWV.

I've been trying to get more involved on JeepInWV. I am planning to go to the Trans-Allegheny Lunatic Asylum Fall Fest on Sunday (10-10-10) for the Jeep Show.

I've looked at a few of these sites, but I never became a member because I'm not in West Virginia enough to really go off-roading there.
Although, back when I had my Honda CRF230, me and my Dad were considering planning a trip to Hatfield McCoy. We've heard a lot about that but we sold both our dirtbikes before we could make a trip there.
Does Hatfield McCoy have any OHV trails for Jeeps etc?

They were originally supposed to, but I think they're now happy with what they have and are sitting back reaping the benefits.

Supposedly H&M is working to establish a trail system in western WV in the East Lynn Lake area. The area will be leased from the Army COE, and the land is currently used as an OHV trail system by the locals. An area club known as the Appalachian Ridge Runners (ARROC - Home Page) is working closely with H&M and the COE to try to establish some of the trails as OHV trails, not just ATVs. The last I heard, the deal was tied up with the WVDNR, because some of the land also serves as a wildlife management area. I think if it does come to fruition, H&M will realize the viability of a true OHV system, and that will help get the ball rolling to expand their other trail systems.
