Well since you have no replies I'll try not to steal the thread but I currently live in Illinois, plan on a move to Wisconsin. But I am very interested in hunting and would love to get into it however I don't know where to start besides a basic hunting course. Is there any place you can go to hunt in the southern wisconsin or up to Milwuakee area?
I would like to do more hunting, unfortunately I don't have the time. I always make time though for gun-deer season as it is a ritual. I picked up a Beeman dual caliber pellet gun the other day which I have been using to terrorize the local squirrel and rabbit population. Now all I have to do is convince my wife to cook them
I'm hoping to have better luck this year than last. West/Central Sheboygan county has never seemed so devoid of deer during last year's gun deer season.
Last year we were up in Black River Falls and came down with the plague and came home early. We were all in bed pretty much the whole week! This year is guaranteed to be better
Did alot of duck hunting this year. just about 5 days a week. Very poor year out on the bay. Mallard wize any way. But everything else was decent.
Inside froze up, outside slushed up, might be the end this year
man we saw a lot of does. good sign i guess, next year will be good.
my dad said he saw the biggest buck he's ever seen in his life. he's 54, so it must have been a good one. he lined up, fired, and the round sounded real "tin-y"
he found the casing and it had a long crack in it. he was pissed. we saw some hair, but we looked around for hours and never saw blood.
