Also across the street from the sole proprietor is the boynton. It's a family style restaurant with average ($$) prices. Food is good, plenty of drinks on tap with different dining areas depending on whether you want it quieter or louder... food is "typical" american fare with locally sourced specials every week

The Sole Proprietor is a good place to go late at night, too - great food for $5 if you ask for the bar menu:

just to stretch the recommendations out a bit outside Worcester proper:

Allora in Marlboro is fabulous, a bit expensive for frequent meals, $$$$ but great, fresh food and good portions.

the Chateau in Westboro, old home of the Naked Fish on Route 9 is great also, $$$, huge portions!

GREAT Italian restaurant. VERY small (maybe 10 tables) because most of their business is take-out and catering.

The Bruschetta is INCREDIBLE.

Not fancy - just delicious, well priced Italian food.

Most steaks come a la carte and sides come family style.

The 111 is the ONLY place to get steaks in Worcester. Every steak I have had there is INCREDIBLE. The porter house (t-bone) will change your life. Great meat, great sides, great drinks, great everything. If you can pay the high prices it is VERY MUCH WORTH IT. FYI it is a formal restaurant, most people are pretty well dressed.

Welcome to Regatta Deli - Worcester & Westboro Massachusetts

Great sandwiches. Great prices. Their "regatta club" is only $4.50...its basically an italian sub. Is a big sandwich for you money.

Street side parking is a hassle if there is a lot of traffic, but the food is good.
