American Civil War buffs will get a different kind of learning experience when they visit the Atlanta Cyclorama and Civil War Museum in Atlanta, Georgia. Located in the historic Grant Park, this museum features a cylindrical panoramic painting depicting the fierce stand of Atlanta Confederate soldiers when they launched a failed counterattack against the Union Army on July 22, 1864. The visitors can sit inside the viewing room and the cylindrical painting rotates to allow a full view of the painting.
Guests can also pay a visit to the Civil War Museum, which contains artifacts and other historical stuff related to the Civil War, such as the historic ?Texas?, a steam locomotive that made history during the Great Locomotive Chase, when it captured the train, the General.
