The Georgia Dome located in Atlanta, Georgia is a major sports and events venue. This dome arena used to hold the title for being the ?Largest Domed Structure in the World? until it was replaced by London?s Millennium Dome in 1999. But, it still remains as the biggest indoor sports facility in America today.

The Georgia Dome was constructed in 1992 and was declared as the most costly state project built in Georgia, figuring to $214 million. It was built as a division of the Georgia World Congress Center.

Today, it functions as the home court of the NFL Atlanta Falcons and of the NCAA Georgia State Panthers. Other events such as wrestling, basketball, soccer and concerts are also held here. One can also take a solo or group tour of the dome.
