Every October, for 11 days, the people of Georgia flock to the city of Perry to have food and fun at the Georgia National Fair. This is the official state fair of Georgia, held at the Georgia National Fairgrounds and Agricenter.

The Georgia National Fair was first held in 1990. It drew an outstanding 270,000 people. Over the years, the number of participants has swollen until its average attendance ballooned to 440,000+ annually. Georgia locals and natives can partake in an array of fun events and activities such as agricultural exhibits, livestock shows and horse races. There are also crafts, fine arts competitions, youth org events, theme park rides, food stalls, concerts, circus, and fireworks. Everything transpires at the Georgia National Fairgrounds and Agricenter, a beautifully landscaped, 1,100-acre state-owned land.
