While the White House is the official home of the President of the United States, almost all of those who have sat in the office also had a private retreat that they can visit to momentarily get away fo the rigors of the position.

One of the most popular of these retreat houses is is the one formerly used by Franklin Roosevelt in Worm Springs Georgia. Dubbed the Little White House, this retreat was actually owned by Roosevelt even before he became president and used it as a place for his paralysis therapy. He kept the home as a retreat during his time as president.

Today, the Little White House is open to the public as a museum dedicated to Roosevelt.
