The Male Academy Museum is recognized for its extensive collection containing period clothing covering the 19th and early 20th centuries. Some of the items in the Museum?s collection were donations from the many prominent families. These pieces from bygone years have been carefully reworked and preserved b textile experts. Certain pieces selected for exhibits are mounted throughout the whole year. The exhibits are also supported by storyboards that inform visitors of the clothing?s fabric, origin, style, and donors

Among the Museum?s permanent displays are the authentic Confederate battle flag, period photographs, a huge collection of weapons and equipment and other artifacts.

The Museum is open from Tuesday to Thursday at 10am to 12pm and 1pm to 3pm. It is also open on Saturday and Sunday from 2pm to 5pm.
