Misty Mountain Railroad is a model O-gauge train display covering 3400 square foot of space. There are 14 trains that run through the one mile track that is consisted of 4 trestles, 15 tunnels, and 12 bridges. The track represents a fantasy North Georgia that is designed with 400 lighted buildings, replica of the Brasstown Resort, Stone Mountain, North Georgia Fair (complete with mechanized carnival parts), and the Victorian train station.

The Misty Mountain Railroad attracts at least 20,000 people a year. Usually, visitors come in groups, mostly toy train enthusiasts and collectors.

The Misty Mountain Railroad site is open from May to December and doors only open at 2 pm to 2:05pm. Admission is free, although, donation is requested among visitors older than 17 years of age.
