The Tallulah Gorge State Park is a state park and recreation area in Tallulah Falls, Georgia. It offers 2689 acres of space for recreation to the public.
The Tallulah Gorge State Park features the Tallulah Gorge, also known to many as the ?Niagara of the South?. The spectacular canyon has always been a tourist attraction, even as far back as the late 1800s. However, it only became a state park in 1993 under the term of then governor Zell Miller.
Activities that can be enjoyed in the park include hiking, mountain biking through its 10 mile trail, fishing, swimming, and picnicking. Folks can also enjoy the exhibits on display at the Jane Hurt Yarn Interpretive Center featuring information about the area?s Victorian resort history.
