St. Simons is an island in Georgia that is mostly known for being a resort community. It has a number of tourist attractions that invite visitors to come for a stay, including the cool beaches, a national park, and a light house.
Another attraction, or rather series of it, can also be found in St. Simons. These are commonly known as the ?Tree Spirits?. They are basically wood carvings on trees.

Made by Keith Jennings, these works of art are made to commemorate the lives of the sailors who died at sea. The carvings even seem to have more effect as time pass by, especially since the wood continuously grows into them, giving off an effect that the sailors? faces are being swallowed.

Maps are available to those who want to see the Tree Spirits.
