The Akaka Falls State Park is a state park and recreation area in Honomu, Hawaii. It is located along the northeaster Hamakua Coast.
The Akaka Falls State Park is named after the stunning Akaka Falls. The Akaka Falls is 422 feet high and is ranked as the 612th highest in the world. Its name translates to a crack, chink, or split. Aside from this, however, the site is also home to the Umauma Falls, which most describes as a snapshot of how Akaka Falls was formed. This one is only accessible through a private property known as the Umauma Experience.
Visitors of the Akaka Falls State Park can easily enjoy hiking and strolling through the park. There a lot of things to see and explore, making it a great stop to every visitor from other places.
