The Iolani Palace is an amazing building made in the neo-classical style for King Kalakaua in 1882. It served as the main residence of the royalties of Hawaii until they were pushed out by the settlers coming from the US in 1893. By then, it served as the capitol of the state until the most modern one was made in 1969.

Its interiors were restored with some wood panels that have carvings of the native woods like Koa and other species that are imported. The throne room as how they call it still has the original throne carvings along with the chandelier. Its fa?ade has stained glass designs and other elaborate decorations to make it all the more pleasant to visit.
