Kualoa Ranch was established in 1850 as a working cattle ranch. It?s a 4,000-acre ranch that extends to the vertical mountain cliffs to the sea. The ranch is considered historic and in the ancient times, it is believed to be sacred. The ranch terrain can be a thick rainforest, an expansive open valley, a white sand beach, or a lush cliff front. The ranch offers several tour options around the area and many visitors find various things to do and there places that can be accessed by horseback or by hiking.

Because of Kualoa Ranch?s exquisiteness, it has attracted many producers and movie makers that have made the Ranch as their site. Those Hollywood films and television shows include Jurassic Park,*Windtalkers,*Pearl Harbor,*Godzilla,*Tears of the Sun, 50 First Dates, Hawaii Five-O,*Magnum P.I. and*LOST. Areas of the ranch include Ka?a?awa Valley where most movie sites are located and the southern part of the ranch which include Hakipu?ku Valley, Moli fishpond which is believed to be 800 years old and the Secret Island.
